Disturbing Reports of Lion Poaching and Illegal Wildlife Trade in Guro

Our team received a concerning report regarding the sale of lion parts in the Guro region. An innocent lion had been recently hunted down in Coutada 09, and the perpetrators were demanding a staggering sum of money for its skin, teeth, and claws.

In statements provided to authorities, after the arrest of the three involved , the hunter involved, revealed that he and his accomplices were in the company of a notorious hunter who possesses an AK-47 rifle and is notorious for his involvement in illegal hunting activities in Coutada 09.

What is particularly alarming about this incident is that the said hunter did not directly partake in the sale of the lion's parts. Instead, he sent a group to carry out the transaction while he remained in the background. This raises serious concerns about the scale and organization of the illegal wildlife trade network operating in the area.

Lion poaching and the illegal wildlife trade are not only devastating to the region's ecosystem but also contribute to the decline of these magnificent creatures, which are already vulnerable due to habitat loss and other threats. The senseless killing of these iconic animals for profit must be stopped.
